Pump Street is an award-winning bakery and Chocolate Maker in the village of Orford on Suffolk’s Heritage Coast. They produce the finest craft chocolate, sourcing cacao from the best growers who ferment and dry the beans at origin. They tailor their roasting, grinding and conching to yield the best tasting chocolate possible.

Chocolate Father Christmas Figure
Hand-poured from molten Togo Swiss Milk chocolate made from bean to bar in Suffolk, this is a classic Father Christmas figure. He is carrying his sack of presents over his shoulder and stands in front of a traditional Christmas tree. Comes in a decorative box featuring snow-covered scenes of the bakery and castle in Orford, Suffolk.

Ingredients: Cocoa beans, cane sugar, cocoa butter, whole milk powder and skimmed milk powder. Milk chocolate contains minimum cocoa solids 44%. For allergens, see ingredients in bold. May contain cereals containing gluten, eggs, nuts and sesame seeds.

This limited edition box is the only way to enjoy all four of our festive winter bakery bars in one collection. Inside, you’ll find a full-size 70g Cinnamon Bun bar, accompanied by 20g bars of the remaining winter flavours - each one inspired by the comforting tastes and aromas of the season

Cinnamon Bun Chocolate Bar
 A brand new addition to the bakery series, with a festive twist. Embedded within our Haiti 60% Dark Milk chocolate is fresh cinnamon bun pastry, made in our bakery in Suffolk, which offers textures of buttery pastry flakes, paired alongside notes of warm spices and hints of zesty orange. The bar is presented in an iconic illustrated wrap designed by artist Jesse Bevan Brown - making it feel like you are unwrapping the perfect gift.
The cocoa beans come from the PISA (Produits Des Îles SA) Cooperative in Haiti, where women-led fermentation processes bring out rich, distinctive flavors while fostering a meaningful, positive impact on the community.

Panettone Chocolate Bar
We have spent years perfecting our traditional Panettone in the bakery.  It is rich, perfumed, full of candied fruit and topped with almonds and sugar crystals, and those flavours are all represented in this chocolate bar. Dark chocolate made with Grenadan cocoa beans from Crayfish Bay Organic Estate, is enriched with our own panettone, then orange peel and nibs of toasted almond and sugar are embedded in the bar. 

Perfect for anyone who loves panettone or other richly flavoured Christmas cakes. 

 

Ingredients: 70%:Cocoa beans, cane sugar, cocoa butter, panettone (9%) (wheat flour with added calcium, iron, niacin and thiamine, butter(milk),egg yolk, malt extract (gluten), honey, salt, panettone natural essence, vanilla paste, armagnac), candied orange peel, almonds & sugar crystal. Dark chocolate contains minimum cocoa solids 70%. For allergens, see ingredients in bold. May contain milk, nuts and sesame seeds.

 

Gingerbread Chocolate Bar
Our Gingerbread bar is made with our freshly baked gingerbread cookies, one of our seasonal staples. Spiced not just with ginger but cinnamon and cardamom too, when combined with West Papua cocoa they produce a chocolate with a rich and deep seasonal flavour and a lasting toasty finish.

Perfect for anyone who loves gingerbread, lebkuchen or zimsterne, or other richly flavoured spiced chocolate.

Ingredients: Cocoa beans, cane sugar, cocoa butter, gingerbread (12%) (wheat flour with added calcium, iron, niacin and thiamine, butter (milk), sugar, eggs, black treacle, ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, baking powder, salt). Dark chocolate contains minimum cocoa solids 62%. For allergens, see ingredients in bold. May contain milk, cereals containing gluten, eggs, nuts and sesame seeds.

 

Maple Pecan Chocolate Bar
The flavours of one of our bakery classics - our Canadian butter tart - shine in this bar; smoky maple syrup, shortcrust pastry and toasted pecans. It is made with milk chocolate that we make from bean to bar with beans from Hacienda Victoria in Ecuador. To this we add crisp shortcrust pastry that is ground into the base chocolate for buttery flavour, maple sugar and small pieces of pecans caramelised with maple sugar and demerara. Perfect for anyone who loves pecan pie, or stacks of pancakes with maple syrup.

Ingredients: 55%:Cocoa beans, cane sugar, caramelised maple pecans (17.4%) (pecans (nuts), pure maple sugar, demerara sugar), cocoa butter, skimmed milk powder, pastry (7.4%) (wheat flour with added calcium, iron, niacin and thiamine, unsalted butter (milk), eggs, icing sugar, salt). Milk chocolate contains minimum cocoa solids 55%. For allergens, see ingredients in bold. May contain nuts and sesame seeds.

 

We aim to make ordering from us as straightforward as possible.

Once your online transaction has been completed your order will be confirmed by email within 24 hours. If your order is placed on a Friday, or over the weekend, your item will be shipped within 3 days from the Monday. Orders are posted Wednesday to Saturday.

Using Royal Mail our shipping rates are calculated based on the estimated weight and size of the items. 

You have the option of First Class Delivery (which cannot be tracked), or Tracked delivery ( to enable you to track your package through all stages of the delivery process)

UK CUSTOMERS

Please allow 3-5 working days for delivery in the UK. In most cases it will be less.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS

We do ship outside of the UK and are delighted to do so, but we ask you to email, susanna@themerchantstable.co.uk, so we may give you an accurate shipping cost to your destination.

Any customs or import duties are charged once the parcel reaches its destination country. These charges must be paid by the recipient of the parcel. Unfortunately, we have no control over these charges, and cannot tell you what the cost would be, as customs policies and import duties vary widely from country to country.

DUTIES

We recommend contacting your local customs office for current charges before you order, so you are not surprised by charges you were not expecting.

Please be aware that your parcel can be also delayed by customs and subsequent charges can be applied. We have no control over this, and cannot supply any details why or for how long your parcel will be delayed.

If you are unhappy with our products in any way, they can be returned provided they are in saleable condition.

If you wish to return your item and receive a full refund items need to posted/couriered back to us within 7 days of being received by you.

Please note refunds to Debit/Credit Cards normally clear in 1/2 days after receipt of the returned goods.

Returns received outside the above time frame will not be accepted. For all returns you will be required to arrange and pay for the return of the products to us.

We will only accept returns provided the goods are received by us in the condition they were in when delivered to you.
