Chloé Rosetta Bell

The Closing Collection of the Suffolk Fishermen

The Merchant’s Table is proud to present the closing collection of Chloé Rosetta Bell’s Suffolk Fishermen at The Watch House, Orford.

The exhibition features Bell’s work displayed upon our Trestle Table; both are creations born from and embedded in the local landscape. While Chloé‘s practice acts as a physical and sensory archive of the region’s coastal livelihoods, the table itself tells a story of local craft. Designed by Jim Parsons, it was built by the shipwrights of Woodbridge Boatyard from local timber, transported by boat down the River Deben.

The collection will be showing on Saturday 31st October and Sunday 1st November, at The Watch House, Orford, Suffolk.

A Sunday Gathering

To mark the occasion, join us on Sunday for drinks and seasonal nibbles by chef Nicola Hordern & Lindsay Wright of Silva.
Nicola and Lindsay’s menu will thoughtfully echo the flavours of the original launch supper we held for this collection, bringing the story of the Suffolk coast full circle through taste.
