Alice Andrea Ewing

Bronze ‘Foraged Hedgerow’ Collection

For the Autumn 2024 exhibition Alice Andrea Ewing has created a bronze collection of autumnal foraged hedgerow produce. The works are solid bronze ‘direct casts’ of produce which have been foraged and found in areas around Suffolk and beyond - collected on hikes and lifted out of meadows, wild garden patches and woodland.
Alice’s new ‘Foraged Hedgerow’ collection is inspired by the Green Man, brings together a mixture of woodland and wintery seeds and foraged specimens, including rose-hips, acorns, beech nuts, mushrooms and crab apples amongst others.
We are also introducing new bronze works by Alice playing with light and function.

Produced through an adaptation of the Italian or Renaissance Lost Wax casting process, the resulting bronze works are unique translations of the original organic specimens, capturing every detail and curiosity of form.
