Laura has been working in paper collage for around 15 years. After studying Textile Design at  Loughborough University, she went on to do an Art PGCE and became a teacher. A few years later she completed a MA in children’s book illustration and has since won various awards and is now working on her second book.

Laura’s Ceramic practice is a more recent development. She fell in love with clay in high school and has happily returned to it. Her vases are the perfect vessel for her designs, marrying the decorative and functional.

Finding inspiration in objects which show the origin and maker in the piece, from beautiful Japanese embroidered Kimonos to the delicate nature of Delftware ceramics or funny Staffordshire pottery, Laura’s work is a celebration of colour, shape and pattern.
