Hannah Watts
Hannah Watts is a multidisciplinary artist based in London. She studied fine art at Edinburgh College of Art, The Florence Academy of Art, and graphic design at Shillington College. She uses a combination of these different mediums within her work. Graphic design plays a key role in her drawing style, using geometric shapes and patterns.
Hannah’s inspiration largely derives from the tropics; namely the African landscape, both natural and architectural as well as from the craft originating there, particularly the textiles. Hannah likes to make up ‘dreamworlds’ within her designs, creating exaggerated versions of natural elements, particularly the plants and flowers within our landscape, using pattern as a constant reference.
