Ewen Brown’s love of functional design where quality and utility are intrinsic is clear in his work. He believes in a circular economy in which resources are kept in use for as long as possible, designing waste out of their products and recycling what little waste is created.

Pieces by Ewen Brown stocked at The Merchant's Table are formed from wood, mostly sourced from Suffolk and Norfolk. Ewen thoughtfully notes the specific area that each piece of wood he uses is collected from, making them very special reminders of their origins.

Ewen’s core values are to celebrate doing things at the right speed, savouring the hours and minutes rather than just counting them. Doing everything as well as possible, instead of as fast as possible.

The timeless designs, combining traditional and contemporary techniques are handcrafted by Ewen in his Norfolk Studio.
