Claire Halsey started her creative journey studying Textiles at Chelsea College of Art and then working as a fashion designer in London, whilst also pursuing her love of painting.

Claire paints still life in muted, soft colours taking inspiration from the great Italian artist Georgio Morandi. 

Since moving to Suffolk in 2002, Claire has expanded upon her painting and incorporated ceramics into her artistic voice. Her ceramics are a reflection of the tonal subtlety of her paintings. The simple forms, are full of character with tactile textures and natural colours.
