An illustrator and ceramicist, Alex Sickling graduated from Leeds College of Art in 2012 and is now based in Newcastle. Alex explores the process of image making through ceramic objects, creating both functional and decorative pieces.

Her eclectic collection of pieces includes plant pots, decorative plates and figurines and with a love for Staffordshire pottery and the Victorian era, her contemporary take on the classic fireplace ‘Staffordshire Spaniels’ has proven to be incredibly popular.

Her ceramics are joyous in their hand-painted finish, applying dot work patterns, washes of colour and intricate details.
